A LITTLE FIRED UP THIS MORNING ABOUT FLOUNDERS!

An interesting statement out of Our daily bread this morning. “Spiritual growth occurs when faith is cultivated.” I have been in a lot of conversations about spiritual growth lately and wonder why there seems to be a stagnant attitude in faith with a lot of people. Why are so many people just flounders in their relationship with God? Why can they get their fill in 2 hours on Sunday if they even do that? Have we become more concerned with the show and entertainment than the gospel? Are we more concerned with the number of people that we attempt to reach than whether or not they actually convert and/or understand at all? Why are we more concerned with the legalistic side of the conversation? Are we worried about offending?

Well, like Johnny Hunt says, THE BIBLE IS OFFENSIVE, bring them to his church and he will offend every one of them. And, if you’re offended by it then you need to get your life right! Why are we not sharing the gospel with our close friends and family? “I don’t want to run them off or make them mad at me”….. Where are you going to run them to? To like Hell 2 or Hell 3?? How you going to feel if one dies, goes to hell and you know you could have made a difference?

FITTING GOD IN

We act like this whole church and God thing is just something we fit into our schedule if we get time UNTIL we need Him THEN we want Him right there and waiting. Well, here’s to your part time church gig, Revelation 3:16 So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth.

Matthew 12:33-35 33 “Make a tree good and its fruit will be good or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad, for a tree is recognized by its fruit. 34 You brood of vipers, how can you who are evil say anything good? For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of. 35 A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him.

AND ONE MORE THING!! If you are NOT witnessing (attempting to lead them to Christ in salvation) then you are NOT following the great commission.
