Aviation weather brief
Years ago when I first read an Aviation weather brief report that went something like this, “NRN…SKC. OCNL SCT040 ERN SXNS. 17Z SCT050. OTLK…VFR. It was pretty confusing to say the least but as I dug in and learned what it all meant then it became 2nd nature as I read it or heard it come across the radio. Not only can you talk with a weather professional but I can also get whats called “Pireps”. That is actual pilot reports on conditions in my path. I knew, however, that if I wanted to fly and be as safe as I can be then I would have to learn about any impending storms ahead of me. I guess I could have just flown into them and hope for the best but WHY when I can see my path even before I get there.
Our spiritual lives are exactly the same. The Bible and it’s words can be a little confusing but after you dig in and learn what they mean then you can not only see what may be ahead of you but will have the information you need to do some weather or collision avoidance. Just like the Pireps for weather there are personal experience in God’s word from some that have already been there and done that. Also, like I can call 1800WXBrief 24/7 and talk to a live person to discuss my flight path, we can also dial up Jesus whenever we need Him to discuss our personal path.
1800WXBrief won’t help you in your spiritual life, (lol, the lack of it may help you meet Jesus sooner) it’s only to give a forecast of your flight. Jesus, however, is there 24/7 to help with whatever you need. Are you ready to make that call?
