Through the Fire

INTO THE FIRE

Many examples of being put through the fire can be found in God’s word. One of my most favorite is the training period that God put little king David through before he was allowed to take his throw. Another prime example is Job. A life full of everything that you could ever want on earth, Job had it mad. He had it all that is till God ALLOWED Satan to run him through the fire. I emphasized “ALLOWED” because Satan cannot attack a child of God without the father’s approval.

I, myself, have been going through the fire over the last 4 years or so. I will not share detail in this post but, I will lay it out at a later time. I was losing spiritual connection, guidance and care from multiple different avenues and was unable to find much needed support despite direct request. One of the things that I realized from this time is that if my faith had not been what it is then I would not have made it through.
Fire is not prejudice to any material. It shows no favor as it burns and shows no mercy on its victim. The smallest spark can wipe out entire forest and bring down the tallest buildings and Its touch on your skin will leave a scare to remind you of its encounter for evermore.

I’m reminded of the movie “lion King” when Simba returned to his land to claim his place on the thrown. As he looked across the land it was dried up and desalinate. Then lightning struck causing a fire which soon consumed all that was left. The story didn’t end there,

however, because that lightning was from a thunder cloud which in turn produced rain that put out the fire, watered the ground and began new a_light_unto_my_pathgrowth.

If you’re in a fire now then remember these few things. At some point in time there will be nothing left to burn. The lightning that started your fire came from a cloud that will produce that rain to quench out that fire and begin new growth. Against popular belief, lightning will strike the same place twice; it’s up to you to not be standing there when it does.

Sincerely,
Tommy Eldridge
