A little sleep, a little slumber

Denise and I braved the traffic and the people last night over in Douglasville to finish a little last minute shopping. While driving around we noticed that The Crab Shack had closed down. It’s been a minute but, we have eaten there not too long ago. The building, however, looks as if it has been closed for years. The landscape was grown and ragged. The building it’s self looked in major need of repairs. We have all seen buildings like this around. It doesn’t take long for them to become run down when you stop taking care of them.

We are just as these buildings in our personal and spiritual maintenance. We must continue to take care of our inner and outer conditions. Proverbs 24: 33-34 says, A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest and poverty will come on you like a thief and scarcity like an armed man.

The Crab Shack building will take some work to restore it to a healthy looking environment but, once there it will only take a small amount of effort to maintain. We are just like this building.

Are you regularly maintaining YOUR house or is it time for a renovation?

NO MORE CHAINS,
Tommy Eldridge
