Who is on your Vacation

Tommy Eldridge and Denise Eldridge on vacation

Denise and I are excited in the fact that in 15 days we will be headed off to the “Realest” (if that’s a word) vacation that we have had in more than 5 years. Because of school and the economy, that was a luxury that we had to cut out for awhile.

When anyone books and pay for a vacation there are certain amenities that you look for and expect to receive while your there. How would you feel if you got there and didn’t get what you paid for? What if you bought a house with appliances and when you moved in they weren’t there? Or you bought a car with a warranty only to find out it didn’t have one. Or, well, you get the idea.

I wanted to say, Imagine a life in Christ where you are not experiencing ALL that God wants to offer BUT, most people already do that. My devotional scripture this morning is John 10:10 which says The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

What would your response be if you pulled up to your vacation and someone else was enjoying one of your paid for amenities? Then WHY allow Satan to steal anything that God has already paid for and He paid for it just for you? Christ died for your abundant life.
